George Smith
13 October 1910 to 6 December 2003

George was known locally in Wellingborough for his wonderful poetry and short stories, frequently
printed in magazines and local newspapers. He was also very artistic, with lifelike paintings and
sketches as well as beautiful handwriting.
He worked mainly as a Cabinet Maker, until ill health put and end to working, but he continued using
his skills as a hobby, making dolls houses and toys.
Married twice with eight children, plus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
George also had a wicked sense of humour, an alert mind and an eye for a pretty lady, he will be
missed but always remembered.
